Silly horse. But, in all honestly, I felt bad for the animal. He has to stand there half a day with that guy sitting on his back. This is outside of the Calvary Museum in Westminster.
Michelle came to visit me this weekend! I’m so happy she did, it was great to have a piece of home for a while.
Attend a movi premiere? Got that checked off my list. The movie itself was really good, I’d recommend it. Plus, I got to be a mere few feet from Ewan McGregor.
Look who I found wandering around the Tower of London. It’s the guard’s kitty! She was really friendly and let me pet her and pick her up.
Regent’s Park Rose Garden honestly has some of the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen, or smelled!
I can’t believe I’ve been here in London for over a month now. I don’t mean to sound cliche, but time really does fly when you’re having fun. Between classes, internship, exploring the city, crazy nights out, and traveling to other parts of Europe, I need to just take a moment to step back and make a bucket list of everything I still want to do here. I think that’ll help me make sure I don’t miss anything.
Eiffel Tower: Every hour at night until 1 am, this icon of the Parisian skyline lights up into a light show.
French Pigeons: Not too different from British pigeons, except they seem to be a lot less afraid of people.
The Latin Quarter: We got there around 11:00 at night and it was already jammed pack. We made our way through the crowds in search of a restaurant and were greeted by several restaurant owners offering us deals to eat at their place instead of the other ones. Free wine! Free appetizer! It was pretty fun going from place to place to see what they would offer. We ended up at an Italian place that offered us free sangria. The food was really good and we had a table right next to a window overlooking the street below. Afterwards we headed into one of the several small clubs lining the streets. The mood in there was fun the giant disco ball over the dance floor was pretty cool.
I can’t believe this week has passed by so quickly. It was only a week ago that I departed for Paris to have an amazing time with my friends.
Since this is my first weekend in a long time that I have here in London, I’ve been making plans to go to several places I’ve been meaning to go. On the list so far: A big central London club, Camden Town, Camden Market, and different areas around Ealing Borough. I’v checked the weather for the weekend and no rain in sight.
